Itinerary
Guided tour of the Garbatella district born in 1920 thanks to a project in which the most famous architects of the time tried their hand, they took inspiration from the English “garden city”, wanting to recreate the ancient bond between man and nature.
The walk through the streets of the village will lead us to the first stone laid by King Vittorio Emanuele III and then transport us into the history of the neighborhood through the gardens, the drying racks, the squares and the low houses.
Among anecdotes and curiosities we will discover the salient features of the Roman baroque, the Palladium Theater, the White hotel visited by Gandhi and Via delle Sette Chiese where Canova’s sketches are kept. You cannot miss a visit to the famous bar of the television series “I Cesaroni” which made the neighborhood famous throughout Italy and to the various clubs and social centers that embody the true essence of the place.
The tasting will be in a typical winery of the area, accompanied by our sommelier/guide.
