Rome- Piazza del Popolo

• Meet at Porta del Popolo where one of our representatives will take us to the banks of the Tiber river for the start of the activity.

Participants will receive the equipment necessary for the descent (paddle, life jacket, helmet) and will attend an introduction on the behavior to be adopted in the river.

• Descent by dinghy with qualified guide

We will pass by Castel Sant’Angelo, in all its majestic grandeur, we will take a glimpse at Via della Conciliazione and, in the background, the Vatican with the Dome well in sight, as well as the famous Piazza Trilussa considered the center of the Trastevere nightlife. 

We will cross imposing bridges such as Vittorio Emanuele II, Sant’Angelo, Garibaldi and in the last part of the route we will sail on the rapids that flank the Tiber Island, the smallest island in the world to be inhabited, until we pass the only remaining arch of Ponte Rotto (Broken Bridge).

Rafting

Rafting is a rejuvenating sport that will bring us into contact with living water, a natural element that we can rarely appreciate in the city.

Rafting on the Tiber is a truly unique experience that allows us to connect with the river, symbol and witness of the greatness of Rome over the centuries in complete safety. The dinghies used for the activity are not motorized, therefore, in addition to having a very low impact on the environment, it will forge the team spirit by leading the team to collaborate unanimously for the success of the descent.

In the afternoon, individual visit of the Gianicolo Park with one of the best Roman views, entrance ticket to the Botanical Garden of the La Sapienza University.

More than three thousand different plant species that represent the academic effort to preserve those in danger of extinction and to promote environmental education through the many initiatives that take place within it.

Stop at the Gianicolo terrace!

One of the most evocative places in the city from which it is possible to admire the Dome of San Pietro, the Pantheon and the Vittoriano framed in a splendid postcard. It is worth waiting for the sunset to enjoy the romantic light on the capital.

At the end of the visit, return individually.
