Explore the places where the foundation of Rome took place up to the imperial age. Among the other historical legacies of the route: the Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus, the Capanne Rotulee, the House of Livia, the House of Augustus, the Cryptoporticus of Nero and the Palace of Domitian.
We’ll stroll from Piazza della Rotonda to admire the Pantheon, a temple built in 27 BC. later converted into a Basilica, and the Renaissance fountain of Bernini built in the square in 1575.
We will, then, reach Piazza di Spagna, a place where important monuments such as the Fontana della Barcaccia and the Spanish Steps merge with the innovation of the great Italian luxury brands such as Gucci, Fendi, Valentino who have chosen this location for the unforgettable fashion shows.
Next to the square we find Via Condotti, symbol of the fashion district in Rome. From here, we’ll go to the Trevi Fountain, unforgettable location of “La Dolce Vita” by Fellini, in which a very young Anita Ekberg invites Marcello Mastroianni into the fountain, using the famous: “Marcello, come here!”
We will visit the ancient city center of Castel Gandolfo and the Papal Palace (ticket included), that in the 1929 became the summer residence of the Popes.
We will visit the magnificent garden, rich in marble, very valuable statues and fountains, designed by Clement IV Ganganelli.
Piazza della Corte, designed by Bernini, is adorned with imposing buildings, such as the Santa Maria Assunta church, Palazzo Chigi (from the outside) ed the very famous Ariccia bridge.
Roman Castles are famous for their rich ancient history, for the breathtaking natural landscapes and the magnificent villas… But also for the culinary art. A traditional three-course lunch will be waiting for you with organic and Kilometer 0 products, in pairing with local wines.
