We will start our walking tour from Piazza Cavour and we will guide you through the streets of the city to discover the famous old town, rich in Roman and medieval testimonies as well as religious buildings and palaces. Como is famous for its lake, its villas with beautiful gardens and ancient trees, but also for its Gothic Cathedral and the pedestrian path along the lake. We will visit the Broletto (the original headquarters of the town), the Teatro Sociale, the Basilica of San Fedele. Via degli Artigiani, located in the historic center, contains the ancient artisan workshops and their creations. One of the many villas on Lake Como is the beautiful Villa Olmo, a neoclassical villa with an imposing structure.
Verona is famous for the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet… the house of Juliet is located in Via Cappello. Entering the courtyard of this fifteenth-century building there is a bronze statue of the Shakespearean heroine… It is said that she is the guardian of true love, so touching her breasts would bring good luck! To the left of the statue would be the place where Romeo and Juliet secretly married.
Not only Shakespeare, but you will also take a look to Torre dei Lamberti, Piazza delle Erbe, the Stone Bridge, the only one left from Roman times, which will lead us to the Roman theatre. The walking tour will end at Piazzale Castel San Pietro, from here you can admire the panorama and enjoy wonderful views of the entire city, including its ancient towers and bridges over the Adige.
Sirmione is located in the southern part of Lake Garda, is a village with ancient charm with its architectural beauty of great value and breathtaking views. You will admire the splendid Scaligero Castle, symbol of Sirmione, the Grottoes of Catullus that preserves the remains of one of the major residential villas in northern Italy
